Imagine being able to eat what you want, when you want, and how you want without second guessing your body or worrying about what others are thinking.
Imagine not spending so much time and energy thinking about food and your body.
Imagine freedom.
Unapologetic eating is eating what you want, when you, and how you want without feeling guilty or ashamed. It means being in the moment with what you are eating, and what you are doing, without feeling self-conscious or worrying about what others may be thinking. It's about getting back to your roots, to who you were before society told you who you should be.
Unapologetic eating involves intuitive eating, and it is food freedom, but also freedom in life.
Because the more you trust your body with food, the more you start to trust yourself in other areas of your life. Connecting with your intuition, your inner knowing, in ALL areas of your life allows you to be unapologetic about how you are eating and living.
Because you deserve to eat - and live - on your own terms.
Move away from dieting and attempts to "fix" yourself or your body (so you have more time for all of the other, more important things)
Get out of the diet-binge-restrict cycle and never again feel like you've fallen "off the wagon" (hint: there is no wagon!)
Reconnect with your inner wisdom so you can figure out how to eat based upon your body cues, rather than any external rules and restrictions
Learn to trust yourself around all foods (yes, even those that you've typically kept out of your house) so that food no longer has control over you
Reframe your inner self-critical thoughts (hello food police!) so that you're not constantly battling yourself in your head or spiraling down into a shame cycle
Decide what to eat and when to exercise from a place of self-kindness and self-care, rather than self-control, shame, or guilt
Develop a whole toolbox full of self-care and coping tools to use when things get uncomfortable (which they will - it's part of the process!) so you can keep moving forward on your journey
Improve your body image and feel more comfortable and confident in your body, no matter what size you are

Yes - this course breaks down and expands on many of the foundational principles of intuitive eating, including rejecting the diet mentality, honoring your hunger, making peace with food, finding pleasure and satisfaction, understanding fullness, coping with emotions, and respecting your body.
Do I have to have any knowledge of intuitive eating to take this course?
Nope - not at all! The course walks you through the principles of intuitive eating, so you don't have to have any prior knowledge in order to take it (by the end of the course, you'll know all about it!).
How is this different from other intuitive eating courses?
The Unapologetic Eating 101 Course includes teachings of intuitive eating principles, but it goes beyond just that. You'll learn more about the history behind our society's beauty and body ideals, where diet culture really developed from, spend time unpacking your own history with food and your body, and will get training and practice in two essential skills in your food and body liberation journey: mindfulness and self-compassion. The course also includes sections on self-care and coping skills, body image, and going from unapologetic eating to unapologetic living.
I already purchased your book, Unapologetic Eating. Why should I buy the course?
The material in the course draw on the content of my book, but it expands and helps you to take it further. While some people are able to read, reflect, and integrate, others need more support and have to hear it in a variety of different ways before they can fully embody it. The course provides video and audio content to suit a variety of learning styles plus editable worksheets and interactive tools to allow you to unpack, process what's coming up, deepen your understanding, and incorporate it into your day-to-day life.
Will this course help me lose weight?
Unapologetic eating is a weight-inclusive practice aligned with the Health at Every Size (HAES) approach to health and wellbeing, meaning intentional weight loss is not the goal. The focus instead on reconnecting to your body and trusting that when you take care of it and respect it, your weight will settle where it is meant to be. For some people this means they lose weight, some may stay the same, and others may gain weight. If there is part of you still hoping to lose weight that is completely normal, and we'll be unpacking and exploring this in the course.
How long will I have access to the course?
You'll have access to all course materials for one full year so you can go at your own pace. Plus you'll be able to download much of the written and audio material (including all of the workbooks and worksheets) AND you'll get free access to any updates that I make to the course over the next year.
I'm a clinician who wants to use intuitive eating and the weight-inclusive approach in my practice. Can I take this course?
Absolutely! The course is suitable for both lay folks and clinicians, and all the information presented is researched-based. Many clinicians have taken this course and found it useful to help with their own food and body relationship, as well as to translate what they're learning into practice for their clients. If you are a clinician, you may also have your client enroll in this course and them support them as they go through it. If you are looking for permission to use and adapt course materials, please contact us.
